Enumclaw Garden Club's Mission revolves around beautifying the community, promoting horticulture and fostering civic pride - all through meaningful, hands-on projects
Ongoing civic beautification includes maintaining floral displays at City Hall, Veteran's Memorial Park, VFW Hall and the Senior Center, as well as the Foothills, Rails to Trails Park area.
Our club hosts annual events to both celebrate gardeners and raise funds. Breakfast for the Birds in Spring, the Annual Plant sale around Mother's Day (a key fundraiser), Tea parties, Garden Tours and more...
As the first garden club in Washington to receive a Civic Achievement Award (1937) and later a national award in 1952, the club garnered recognition for its beautification and civic efforts.
It's longstanding tradition of planting trees - cedars at J.J. Smith Elementary, Hawthorns along city streets, Lombardy poplars at City Park's WWII Memorial, and more - showcases its enduring commitment to community enhancement
Community art projects have become a hallmark: in 2005, they established a garden at Foothills Trail Park: in 2008, they dedicated a pony statue at Dwight Garrett Park: and in 2019, they completed the "Elk on the Trail" stainless-steel sculpture installation.
