The Enumclaw Garden Club’s Christmas Social is an annual festive gathering where members celebrate the holiday season together in warmth and good cheer. It’s a chance for friends old and new to reconnect, reflect on the year, and share the magic of Christmas in a relaxed, joyful setting.
What happens:
- A cozy lunch or potluck where members bring seasonal dishes and treats.
- Decorations and holiday cheer—think festive table settings, twinkling lights, perhaps a decorated tree.
- Small program including holiday greetings, sometimes singing carols, and sharing stories.
- Members may exchange modest gifts or participate in a small gift raffle or “Secret Santa” activity.
- Some years include holiday crafts or quick creative projects—winter wreaths, ornament‐making, or decorating items related to gardens with a seasonal twist.
- A moment recognizing the Garden Club’s community projects, including holiday contributions such as decorating or furnishing a tree for the Senior Center. (One of the Club’s regular holiday service projects is trimming and decorating the Senior Center Christmas Tree. )
Why it matters:
- It’s not just a party—it reinforces the sense of community, thanks volunteers for their service, and celebrates the achievements of the Club over the year.
- Helps the Club to plan ahead for the coming season and often inspires members with ideas and goodwill.
